The leadership at YOVA is helmed by Directors Noel Reid, Jennifer Alexis-Codner and Lamar Codner, reporting to the Board of Advisors. Supporting them are Assistant Director Nandy Nedd and Principal Stephanie Wynters. Complementing our core team, over 30 qualified professionals are dedicated to guiding positive change in young lives.
Director
Profile 
Mr. Noel Reid has over 20 years working in reform education. Mr. Reid’s lives and breathes his life’s calling to positively impact the lives of behaviorally challenged youth. Mr. Reid believes strongly that the rehabilitation of youth, and the restoration to their rightful place as respectful, resourceful and reciprocal students can only be achieved with a holistic approach and community involvement. He operates under the guiding principle of It takes a village and so his conviction is that “There is no problem in community that cannot be solved by the community”. Thereby underscoring the need for a cohesive partnership between the child, the school (faculty and staff) and parents.

As a Director at YOVA, he leads a wide range of internal and external processes tied to daily operations – constantly shaping, enhancing, sustaining and guiding a culture centered on the students, families, and staff that are the heartbeat of the organization. Committed to fostering excellence, Noel works to build an engaged community grounded in care where YOVA is the best place to work, with the best people to work with, and has the best program to receive care. Through collaborative leadership, future-focused planning and adroit execution, he continues creating meaningful change by uniting people from all walks of life to empower vulnerable youth.

Jennifer Alexis-Codner is the Founder and Director of Youth of Vision Academy. In 2010, Ms. Alexis founded a group home/residential program (Ebenezer Home) in St. Lucia for troubled girls. Due to the success of the program, Mrs. Codner partnered with Mr. Noel Reid to expand the program to include boys. The program rebranded from Ebenezer Home to Youth of Vision Academy, a private Christian boarding school established to provide educational, therapeutic, and behavioral services to children and young adolescents in a safe and nurturing environment, located in Jamaica. Under the leadership of Mrs. Codner, the program has grown to over 100 students and 80 employees.
Ms. Codner is a committed servant leader with a passion for rehabilitating young people for Christ. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of the Southern Caribbean, a master’s degree in Human Services Counseling from Liberty University, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Administration. Over the course of her 20-year career in School Administration, Management, and Counseling, she has worked in a variety of settings. She began her career as a teacher in her native Grenada, then traveled to the United States to work as the Dean and Campus Coordinator at a therapeutic school before opening her own school in St. Lucia.
She was a sought-after motivational speaker and counselor for schools and churches in St. Lucia. Mrs. Codner is an excellent interpersonal communicator who possesses good analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, listening, negotiation, and organizational skills. She is also trained in Crisis Intervention, Christian Counseling, and the Promotion of Healthy Attachment (Reactive Attachment Disorder).
Mrs. Codner is married to the love of her life who also partners with her in Ministry. When not working, she enjoys cooking with her husband and is an avid monopoly player.

Since 2019, Mr. Lamar Codner has served as the Director of Youth of Vision Academy. Mr. Codner is a seasoned construction manager and entrepreneur with more than two decades of expertise in the field. Mr. Codner has a track record of effectively managing multi-million dollar projects from start to finish. He takes satisfaction in meeting deadlines as a certified General Construction Professional.
Mr. Codner has served in church leadership roles and has worked with young people in the church and community for over ten years. In his community, he has also participated in elderly care and outreach projects.
Mr. Codner is married to the love of his life, with whom he shares ministry responsibilities. He enjoys cooking with his wife when he is not working and can be counted on to prepare healthy meals because he is a firm believer in clean eating.
Assistant Director

Nandy Nedd is the Assistant Director of Youth Vision Academy (YOVA), but she has served as the temporary Dean of Student Affairs – Boys Dorm, where she was responsible for the general well-being of all the boys as well as the staff who deal with them.
She is now serving as the temporary Dean of Student Affairs- Girls Dorm.
Ms. Nedd has been involved in Youth Ministry for over 15 years, serving in capacities such as mentor, Dean of Students, and teacher. She is dedicated to rehabilitating young people in order to assist them in becoming the best version of themselves.
Ms. Nedd began her career as a teacher in Grenada before moving to the United States to serve as a Girls Dorm Staff at a therapeutic school, she eventually rose to the position of Dean of Girls. She then accepted a position with Ebenezer Home, a St. Lucia-based group home for troubled girls where she served as mentor, teacher, and dean. Ebenezer Home was rebranded to Youth of Vision Academy, a private Christian boarding school established to provide educational, therapeutic, and behavioral services to children and young adolescents in a safe and nurturing environment, located in Jamaica.
Outside of youth ministry, Ms. Nedd worked as an Administrative Assistant at Lifetime Co-operative Credit Union in Barbados, assisting the general manager with administrative and human resources functions. When not working, Ms. Nedd enjoys watching movies and is an avid reader.

Stephanie Christopher-Wynter, PhD is a Licensed Associate Psychologist, an Educator, and Administrator. Currently, Dr. Christopher-Wynter serves as Principal at Youth of Vision Academic (YOVA). Dr. Christopher-Wynter is also an adjunct faculty member in the Behavioural and Social Sciences department at Northern Caribbean University, (NCU).
Further, Dr. Christopher-Wynter has served in various professional capacities: as a lecturer, and Coordinator in the Teacher Education department at NCU. She is a former adjunct lecturer at the International University of the Caribbean (IUC), Jamaica, the Jamaica Theological Seminary (JTS), Jamaica, and former Resource Person attached to the Ministry of Education, Jamaica, “Child Find Project” where she worked as a psychologist with various Regional offices within the Ministry of Education, Jamaica.
Dr Christopher-Wynter boasts additional certifications and training in MICO Diagnostic Reading Screening, MICO CARE Centre, Jamaica; Early Childhood Development; Mathematics; and Quality Assurance. Holds current membership in the Jamaica Psychological Society, and past membership in the Early Childhood Commission Training Sub-Committee. At YOVA – Every Child Matters!
